In today’s issue of the Official Gazette, a new communiqué on the construction sector took place. An important decision was taken for building inspection companies with the “Communiqué on the Procedures and Principles of Supervision of the Activities of Building Inspection Organizations, Implementation of Administrative Sanctions and Collection of Administrative Fines” published by the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change. According to the decision, building inspection companies will now have to be much more sensitive in order to continue to earn money.

According to the decision in the Official Gazette, the permit certificates of the building inspection companies that have been banned for 3 times of inspection will be cancelled. So this company will not be able to get a job again. In addition, the work of a company can be examined upon a person’s notice or complaint. The state will also be able to act ex officio about the company. Irregularities detected will be evaluated separately for each job.

Administrative fines will be up to 50 percent of the contract value.

The communiqué published in the Official Gazette also includes issues regarding the fines imposed on building inspection companies. According to this; The fines to be imposed cannot be more than 50 percent of the amount of the building inspection service contract.

The bans given to companies within the scope of the Communiqué on the Procedures and Principles of Supervision of the Activities of Building Inspection Agencies, Implementation of Administrative Sanctions and Collection of Administrative Fines will be published in the Official Gazette. After the decision from the Central Building Inspection Commission, the Ministry of Environment, Urbanization and Climate Change will take action and cancel the company’s permit. Fines must be paid within one month after their publication in the Official Gazette.
