A Reddit user conducted a small experiment to learn how this technology, which Samsung recently released, works. Thus, he revealed the deception of the Space Zoom feature, which the company markets by saying that it works with camera lenses. But seeing this and blaming the company wouldn’t be very consistent.

Reddit user u/ibreakphotos downloaded this high resolution image and applied ‘Gaussian Blur’ from the Filter tab in Photoshop. Thus, all the defining details of the Moon photo have disappeared.

Later, this friend opened this photo to full screen on his computer monitor, turned off the lights of the room, and went to the far end of the room and photographed the Moon from his Samsung Galaxy device, as in the GIF below.
