Samsung launched the first Galaxy SmartTag tracker, designed to help find lost items, in 2021. The South Korean technology giant is now preparing a new version for sale. The SamMobile website shared some details about the new device.

According to the information transferred, the company will launch the second generation Galaxy SmartTag in the third quarter of 2023. Although it is not yet known what improvements Samsung will make in the new tracking device, there are some expectations in this direction.

Expectations for the new Galaxy SmartTag

The next-gen Galaxy SmartTag will likely have the same look. The device is expected to be equipped with enhanced wireless range, beep volume and additional security measures to prevent unauthorized tracking.

The tracker is said to be unveiled alongside the Galaxy Watch 6 smartwatch, Galaxy Buds 3 earphones, Galaxy Tab S9 tablet, and Galaxy Flip 5 and Galaxy Fold 5 foldable smartphones at the next big Galaxy Unpacked event in August.
