The FBI has warned against scammers attempting to steal crypto in Play to Earn (P2E), the popular sector of the crypto industry.

The past day, the FBI issued a warning notice to the crypto industry and crypto investors. In the alert issued by the FBI, statements were made against criminals who created fake game apps with the aim of stealing millions of dollars in cryptocurrency.

FBI Warns Crypto Investors

Play to Earn (P2E), one of the most popular crypto sectors of recent times, started to lose its effect gradually due to many problems. The most important of these events was the ban of the STEPN (GMT) project in the Chinese market.

Having experienced a rapid growth and then a major collapse, P2E has become one of the frequently used methods of fraud. Many scammers claim that they are in the P2E category with fake games, thus stealing millions of dollars of incoming investors’ assets.

Addressing this issue, the FBI, in its statement, promotes criminals’ P2E apps as games that offer financial incentives to players. It was also mentioned in the statement that criminals use the financial incentives offered by the games to steal the assets of their victims.

The FBI, which wants investors to be protected and take precautions, requested that the actors in question be notified in such cases of fraud.
