As September continues to approach, the claims about the US-based technology giant Apple continue to boil. Because the company will bring the iPhone 15 series to consumers at the event to be held in September. The sources of the leaks are already in a race to provide information about these phones.
The latest information from a leak source from Korea reveals a remarkable point about the standard models of the iPhone 15. Allegedly, the iPhone 15 will not offer the Always on Display feature, just like the iPhone 14 family. Pro models will have ProMotion and Always-On Display features. Claims made in the past, on the other hand, argued the opposite.
This is probably due to supply issues
The news from Korea was also brought up by Ross Young, who was a major source of leaks for the display industry some time ago. Young said that the disruptions in the supply chains will lead to the lack of ProMotion and Always-On Display feature in the display panels that will be designed for the iPhone 15 models. Today’s claim confirms Ross Young.
Apple’s Pro Motion technology allows the screen refresh rate to be used between 1-120 Hz on iPhones where it is used. Thanks to this technology, the Always on Display feature has come to iPhones. The technology that we have only been able to see in Pro models until now, it seems, will only appear in Pro models in 2023. However, this situation may change by 2024. According to experienced Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo, Chinese display manufacturer BOE will become Apple’s home screen supplier by the second half of 2024. If this happens, iPhone 16 and all later models can be equipped with screens with Pro Motion technology.
