Facebook announced its new umbrella name, Meta, at its Connect 2021 event on October 28. He announced that he would innovate in many areas and that he wanted to bring the Metaverse project to life.
Meta, formerly Facebook, recently launched Ray-Ban Stories, the first-generation smart glasses developed in collaboration with EssilorLuxottica, the parent company of Ray-Ban. The officially introduced product connects with the phone. This leaked product also comes to the fore with its camera and other features.
The first watch of the new company, Meta Watch, is getting ready to debut
Reports leaked earlier this year revealed that Facebook is working on a smartwatch with cellular connectivity. Offering SIM card support meant users could take full advantage of its features without pairing it with a smartphone.
Facebook’s newly announced parent company Meta will allegedly introduce the first smartwatch in early 2022. In the image discovered in the iPhone application used for the company’s Ray-Ban smart glasses; a camera with rounded corners, housed in a drop notch; A design with control buttons on the sides and top stands out.
The device, which Meta has not yet officially announced, will offer more than fitness features. On the other hand, allowing to customize the appearance of the smart watch; It offers a removable wrist strap support.
Meta Watch will integrate with the company’s Messenger and WhatsApp messaging services. It is worth noting that Meta has not made an official statement about the smartwatch. But given last year’s reports and this latest leak; Although the design is not fully clear, it is said that such a device will appear in front of users sooner or later.
Among the previous reports, it was claimed that the device will come with the ECG feature, as in the Apple Watch Series 6. Using the application of this watch, which is seen in the glasses application called Facebook View; It shows that it will also be managed on iPhones and Android devices. The code inside the software suggests that the watch could be called “Milan”.
While Apple, Samsung and many other technology companies have already produced multiple models of their own smart watches; Meta’s entry into the fray will intensify the competition in the market.
