Mercedes, one of the most important automobile brands in the world, manages to attract the attention of vehicle users with every model and style it releases. The roadster model SL, which has been produced by Mercedes since 1957, misses itself and is on the market again with the code R232 after a long time. The model, which will be launched as part of Mercedes-AMG, will replace the discontinued GT Roadster. The SL model will be renewed for the seventh time since its launch.
Expected to be on the market by mid 2022
The model, which will be launched in two different versions, SL 55 and SL 63, will be offered to buyers with 2+2 seating arrangement and four-wheel drive system. AMG SL 2022, which has become modern with both its interior and exterior designs, will be powered by 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8s. The standard model has 476 hp and 700 Nm of torque, while the SL 63 has 585 hp and 800 Nm of torque.
The vehicle also stands out with features such as long wheelbase, short overhangs, long engine hood, sloping windshield, rear passenger compartment and body design. A plug-in hybrid model using AMG E Performance technology is expected to be introduced in the following months, and the new SL models are expected to hit the market in mid-2022.
