Various studies are being carried out to prevent the climate crisis, which is now known by many people and whose effects will be seen more clearly in the near future. However, in order for all these to be more functional and beneficial, many environmental groups, especially the United Nations, want to draw humanity’s attention to the climate crisis.

The United Nations made a dinosaur speak at the UN podium to draw attention to the climate crisis, before the climate summit, which will be held in Glasgow, Scotland, from October 31 to November 12, where the problems and solutions regarding the effects of the climate crisis will be discussed. The environmentalist dinosaur, which was more realistic than the dinosaurs in Ankapark and took on a useful task, warned humanity against the effects of the climate crisis.

“It’s time to stop making excuses”

In the video published as part of the “Choose Extinction” campaign launched by the United Nations Development Agency (UNDP), the dinosaur addressed world leaders from the UN tribune and warned the leaders, saying that humanity is heading towards extinction due to the climate crisis and billions of dollars are spent on fossil fuels. Stating that their own lineage was destroyed by meteorites, the dinosaur stated that it is time to make a change and said, “It is time for people to stop making excuses and start making changes. Think of all the other things you can do with this money paid for fossil fuels. People all over the world live in poverty. Don’t you think it would make more sense to help them than to pay for the extinction of your entire species?” said.

“This is not the first time that dinosaur extinction has been used in popular culture to raise awareness of the threat from environmental degradation as a species. This video has the potential to be very effective,” said climate expert and climate change communicator Michael Mann.

“Coal use should be stopped”

In a statement before the climate summit, United Nations Secretary-General Antonio Guterres stated that the future of humanity depends on keeping the global temperature rise at 1.5 degrees Celsius by 2030, and the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD) countries are told to end the use of coal by 2030. and other countries to stop using coal by 2040.
