Elon Musk also owns Neuralink, whose most well-known companies are in the field of neurotechnology, apart from Twitter and Tesla. In his experiments with this company, Musk is working on brain chips to connect the human brain to the computer. The businessman has experimented on monkeys before, and now he wants to carry it on humans. But the FDA, for some reason, did not allow Elon Musk’s Neuralink company to insert a chip into the human brain.

Elon Musk’s Neuralink company’s chip project was not allowed

Elon Musk has been experimenting on animals for a long time to connect the human brain to the computer environment. The business person showed successful results in these tests. As a result of this, Neuralink announced that at the end of last year, it will also implant a chip in people’s brains.

But the FDA did not allow Elon Musk to chip in the human brain. The biggest reason for this is that the implant cables attached to the brain are extremely thin. The FDA thinks these wires will break when removed from the brain.

A former Neuralink employee made the following statement in an interview with Returers on the subject:

“Safety concerns are about the possibility that the tiny wires of the implant may travel to other parts of the brain, and whether and how the device can be removed without damaging the brain tissue.”

On the other hand, it should be reminded that Elon Musk announced in November last year that he will receive FDA approval within a period of six months. If events progress in line with Elon Musk’s statement, Neuralink’s first brain chips will be on the market in 2030.

In addition, Elon Musk stated that he will wear brain implants in cases such as his children having a stroke, in a statement on the subject a while ago. But one of the biggest goals of this study is to use a robot with an implant placed in the human brain.
