Launched in 2014, The Forest has been a fun survival adventure with friends ever since. However, almost 10 years after the game’s release, we needed a new The Forest.
Then, the sequel, Sons of the Forest, which was announced 3 years ago, finally went into early access yesterday. The developer of the game, Endnight Games, announced that they achieved great success in the first 24 hours of the game’s early access opening.
Sons of the Forest sold over 2 million copies in its first 24 hours
The Endnight team says in their announcement on Twitter: “Thanks to everyone who joined us in Sons of the Forest’s early access adventure. We sold over 2 million copies in the first 24 hours and we are very excited about what we have to offer players in the weeks to come.”
Sons of the Forest managed to reach 350,000 simultaneous active players on Steam in its first 24 hours.
Sons of the Forest, an open-world survival horror game that sends players to a faraway island filled with cannibals and other dangers in search of a missing billionaire, seems to have won gamers’ acclaim. What are you thinking? Please do not forget to share your thoughts with us in the comments.
