England-based automobile giant Range Rover introduced the 5th generation Range Rover model to the whole world with an online launch. With the introduction of the new model, which we learned that a major change was made especially at the rear, thanks to the leaked visuals to date, the detailed features of the vehicle were also revealed.
The new Range Rover, which was built on the MLA-Flex infrastructure to be lighter, opened the door to the electric version thanks to this infrastructure. Offering petrol and diesel engine options, the new Range Rover also has a hybrid engine option with a 38.2 kWh battery.
The only SUV with a record-breaking coefficient of friction
As you can see from the first image, the design of the new Range Rover seems to have been officially filed. Thanks to this design, which looks almost like a smooth skin on a new foundation, Range Rover has a drag coefficient of 0.30, which sets a record in the SUV category.
The models of the new Range Rover, named P440e and p510e, have a 3.0-liter V6 engine powered by an electric motor. On the electric side, there is a 105 kW motor and a 38.2 kWh battery. The range of the electric motor varies between 80-100 kilometers. The extremely high-performance P510e accelerates from 0 to 100 kilometers per hour in 5.6 seconds.
When we look at the interior of the vehicle, we see that Range Rover is equipped with superior technologies. The multimedia screen with Apple Car, Android Auto and Alexa support is exactly 13.1 inches in size. The 13.7-inch display in the cockpit contains all the details about driving. The new Range Rover has 4 different equipment packages, namely SE, HSE, Autobiography and First Edition, together with the 48V electrically assisted independent suspension system and the headlight group that offers a lighting range of up to 500 meters. The starting price of the new model is set at 104 thousand dollars.
