You know that when you search on Google, you can find detailed information about any animal. But do you know that on Android or iOS devices, you can interact with certain animals or objects through the search page?
With 3D (3D) support, Google also gives you the “Show in 3D” option when you search for certain animals, objects or places. This allows you to see whatever you’re looking for in 3D.
For example, if you Google search for “zebra” using your iPhone or Android phone, you can view the zebra in 3D and AR in addition to the normal text, photo and video results. Google combines 3D technology with augmented reality to help you experience content in a completely new way (both experimental and immersive).
This feature offers two different possibilities. First, you can view animals in 3D. But perhaps the more interesting part is that with ARCore you can use AR-enabled devices to view and interact with them in your space. This makes Google 3D animals one of the best AR apps for Android.
Many animals, including tigers, lions, farm animals, pets and even dinosaurs, can be displayed in 3D. You can also view and interact with bugs and the following listed entities in 3D in AR:
- underwater and wetland animals
- anime
- Birds, pets and dinosaurs
- Human anatomical systems
- cellular structures
- Chemistry, biology and physics terms
- Cultural objects and heritage sites
- automobiles
- Planets and natural satellites
However, this feature is not supported by all devices and browsers; It is only available on mobile devices and browsers such as Chrome, Safari and Brave. Currently not supported on computers and browsers such as Firefox and Edge.
To view 3D results on Android, you need to use an Android phone with Android 7 and above. To interact with 3D results using AR, you need an Android phone that supports the ARCore framework.
To view Google 3D results on iOS, as well as interact in AR on your iPhone, you need iPhone 6S or later, iOS 11 and later, and Safari and the Google app.
To see animals or objects in 3D, simply press the “Show in 3D” button. For a more fun experience, tap the “See In Your Space” button to view a life-size image of the zebra in your room or space. As suggested on the screen, hold your phone down and move it to find the right spot. When you find the ground, the animal will appear in your environment. Tap to move the life-size animal around your space. You can also use gesture commands to zoom in or out. You can use the camera button to take a photo of your AR animal.
