WhatsApp has now become a basic need for all of us. Now we can make both our messaging from there, our voice calls from there, and our video calls from there.
It would not be an exaggeration to say that the most important feature of WhatsApp other than messaging is video calling. However, not being able to do other things on the phone while video talking is a bit annoying, especially on iPhone devices.
This will no longer be a problem: a window-in-a-window mode for video calls is coming to the iOS version of WhatsApp
The developers of WhatsApp’s parent company Meta have started rolling out window-in-window support for video calling so you can still see who you’re talking to while using other apps on your iPhone.
You can have this feature when you update WhatsApp to version 23.3.77 from the App Store. When you’re on a video call within WhatsApp, you can navigate your phone while you’re still on the call, with a modal window that you can drag on the screen when you minimize the app.
WhatsApp actually announced this feature last year. It looks like the beta tests went well and the feature has officially started rolling out. At this point, it is not known whether this feature will come to Android WhatsApp by default.
