Microsoft released Windows 11 over a year ago. The operating system received its first major update in the last months of last year, taking on a more intuitive and complete form. Now, in the 2023 update of Windows 11, a watermark is coming for unsupported systems.

New watermark coming to Windows 11

As part of the January 2023 update, Microsoft has now started showing the “System requirements not met” watermark on unsupported computers running Windows 11 22H2. But Microsoft doesn’t seem to show this watermark on every system. Therefore, this watermark is being displayed after the January 2023 Tuesday Patch for some underutilized users.

At this point, users have been using the new operating system for a while using various tools, even though their systems do not meet the requirements of Windows 11. Moreover, if your device can run Windows 10 without any problems, it will run Windows 11 just fine.

However, Microsoft does not want to run Windows 11 on older systems due to security concerns. Instead, the company demands that you upgrade to one that can meet the minimum requirements for the new operating system. On the other hand, systems that receive the “System requirements not met” warning will not change the functionality of Windows 11 and will continue to receive updates.
