Despite heavy embargoes, it managed to launch its first graphics cards by investing heavily in R&D studies. However, it is possible to say that it is at least 3-4 generations behind.

How is the Chinese MTT S80 performance?

Introduced as the world’s first PCIe 5.0 graphics card, the MTT S80 graphics card is based on the MUSA graphics architecture developed by Moore Threads and has a 12nm process. It was discussed that with 16GB of GDDR6 memory, it achieved a performance of around RTX 3060.

However, although it consumes 252W of power in the tests, it lags behind the GT 1030 graphics card, which consumes 30W of power. As there is optimization in certain games, it naturally lags behind incompatible games.

The MTT S80 graphics card is not expected to have widespread gaming support, as there are still compatibility issues. This reduces its chances in the crowded Chinese market. However, on new generation cards, Moore Threads will also solve this problem.
