A nine-year-old boy from Pennsylvania has become one of the youngest high school graduates after receiving his diploma remotely from Reach Cyber Charter School. David Balogan, who loves science and computers, is already working towards earning his college degree in hopes of becoming an astrophysicist who studies black holes.
Raising a child with such talent was difficult, David’s family said. “I needed to step out of the box,” said David’s mother, Ronya. He is a nine-year-old boy with a brain capable of understanding and grasping many concepts beyond his age and sometimes beyond my understanding.”
David is now on record as the second youngest high school graduate. In first place is a boy who graduated from high school in 1990 at the age of six and then earned his master’s degree at the age of 14.
Saying that his success is largely due to his wonderful teachers, David stated that they have always supported him and said that he can do anything he puts his mind to.
