Cryptocurrency exchange Binance is suspending US Dollar transfers this week, starting next Wednesday.
While the world’s largest cryptocurrency exchange Binance suspends dollar bank transfers, it also noted that USD wire transfers only transfer a small fraction of monthly active users.
Binance Suspends Dollar Bank Transfers This Week
Cryptocurrency exchange Binance recently confirmed in a statement that it will suspend US dollar transfers from Wednesday.
A Binance spokesperson said in a statement that only 0.01 percent of monthly active users use USD wire transfers:
“As of February 8, we are temporarily suspending USD wire transfers. Customers affected by this situation are informed directly.”
A spokesperson for cryptocurrency exchange Binance added:
“Meanwhile, all other crypto buying and selling methods will remain unaffected, including wire transfer, credit card, debit card, crypto trading via Google Pay and Apple Pay using one of the other fiat currencies supported by Binance (including the euro).”
