Rivian company, which has recently joined the global firestorm and contracted by 6% in its workforce, has made a name for itself globally with its stylish electric pickup trucks.
According to the rumors that have emerged so far, it was thought that the company would produce an electric bike. Indeed, the rumors turned out to be true. Rivian will produce electric bikes.
Rivian begins developing its first electric bike
Rivian’s CEO, RJ Scaringe, officially confirmed the start of the company’s electric bike project during a meeting with company employees. The company has also hired some top e-bike designers from big brands like Specialized.
In fact, Scaringe confirmed during the meeting that an e-bike is not only in the plans, but the first model is already being actively developed in-house. It may be hard to believe, but electric bikes are by far outpacing electric cars and trucks, largely due to lower production costs and therefore much lower price tags.
