The feature of receiving guests for live broadcasts, which YouTube announced last year, is starting to come to life. For now, you will only be able to receive guests on live broadcasts in Android and iOS applications.

Guest on YouTube live broadcasts

Live broadcasts have become one of the sine qua non of content platforms today. However, certain platforms allowed live broadcasts with more than one person. Now, live broadcasting with guests is possible on YouTube.

The Joint Live Broadcast feature can be used by any creator with 50 or more subscribers. It is enough to send a link to the guest after entering the necessary details by following the Create and Joint Live Broadcast path in the mobile application. After the guest waits in the waiting room, it is broadcast.

Only one guest is accepted to the broadcast, but guests can be changed during the broadcast. Streaming can be set up from the desktop app, but users must be in the mobile app. YouTube previously allowed content producers to connect to a brand’s channel and return to the broadcast during a live broadcast, but they were not guests. Twitch, on the other hand, can host up to 5 guests under the Guest Star feature.
