The city of Aomori, famous for its snowfall, is sometimes under 8 meters of snow in winter. Although this situation is very annoying, it can be a method to generate electricity. The system, which will soon be put to test in the empty pool of an old school, is based on the principle of storing the already accumulated snow in a place instead of dumping it into the sea. Afterwards, the heat exchangers will be placed both on the solar side and in the snow.

Thus, the gas heated by the sun will be cooled by the snow after turning the turbine, and will circulate again by heating from the sun/air binary. The higher the difference, the faster the gas turbine will turn and convert the motion energy into electricity.

It is an earthquake zone in Japan and therefore has many thermal springs. But relatively low-temperature waters for electricity generation, most of which cannot be converted to electricity. But thanks to the even lower temperature of the snow, the difference will be widened and it will be able to generate electricity.

By pouring and accumulating the snow currently transported by trucks into a large pool instead of pouring it into the sea, it can provide a base load during the summer as the snow melts slowly. The benefit of base electricity is that you can generate electricity whenever you want or maintain the same power continuously for 24 hours for weeks.

The cost of electricity produced from the system is expected to be cheaper than electricity produced from offshore wind turbines.
