Tesla offers its users many pioneering experiences with its eight external cameras, autopilot, full self-driving and sentry mode. According to the announcement of the company’s CEO, Elon Musk, the sentry mode, which has a very important place in vehicle safety, will soon be able to make live calls.

Sentry Mode provides unparalleled protection for Tesla vehicles by constantly monitoring the environment around the vehicle. When the feature using external cameras on the vehicle is activated, the vehicle enters the “Standby” state to detect its security. It is aimed to eliminate the problem with warnings and alarms according to the nature of the threat detected by the feature. It can also prepare a video recording that starts 10 minutes before the threat is detected, by plugging a USB drive into the vehicle before Sentry Mode is activated.

Elon Musk confirms live search feature

In the Tesla App, it was reported when Sentry Mode was activated, but instant viewing was not possible. With the newly announced feature, it is now possible to broadcast live through the Tesla App. According to the CEO of the company, Elon Musk, thanks to this feature, users will be notified with the live call feature in case of any risk.

Sentry Mode is very useful for detecting perpetrators attempting to damage vehicles and important nearby events. The newly added live search feature helps vehicle owners know what is happening at the moment and what kind of intervention may be needed. While no alarm system has been able to prevent all vehicle thefts or threats so far, Tesla promises that with Sentry Mode it is much more functional against other security measures.
