German automobile giant Mercedes-Benz brought the long-awaited new model of its popular model CLA to us today. The 2024 CLA Coupe comes with a refreshed look, advanced technologies and performance upgrades.
The automobile giant offers its renewed CLA models in two new color options, which it calls Hyper Blue and Starling Blue. It is also stated that three new wheel designs will join the family. Without further ado, let’s take a look at the features of the new CLA family together.
Introducing the new Mercedes-Benz CLA
If we look at the design, we see that Mercedes did not completely renew the car. Instead, the company has made small but effective changes. For example, the front grille is made of Mercedes’ iconic star. In addition, important changes in the designs of the front and rear headlights are not overlooked. We can say that the company has made the car much more stylish with these updates.
In the entry package of the car, we encounter the front-wheel drive CLA 250 and the all-wheel drive CLA 250 4Matic. The cars use a 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine that produces 221 horsepower. Also coming is a new electric booster body, and vehicles get a 48-volt hybrid system to aid acceleration. It is worth noting, however, that 13 extra horsepower has been added.
If we come to the AMG side, we see the 35 and 45 S models. Let’s say that the 35 also has a 48-volt system. This vehicle features a turbocharged 2.0-liter four-cylinder engine producing 302 horsepower and an eight-speed dual-clutch transmission. The 45 S, on the other hand, produces 416 horsepower, unlike the previous version with 382 horsepower. The torque value is transferred as 480 Nm. The car accelerates from 0 to 100 in 4 seconds.
When we look at the interior of the CLA, we see that improvements have been made. Inside the cars, a 10.3-inch instrument cluster running the MBUX infotainment system and a 10.3-inch touchscreen greet us. It should be noted that three screen styles have been added, Classic, Dynamic and Sporty.
Wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, various interior trim options, leather steering wheel (which can be optionally heated) are other remarkable features. Let’s also say that the parking assistant with 360-degree camera video is standard.
While Mercedes-Benz stated that the new CLA family will debut in the USA this year, it did not give a clear date. Also, there is no information about the price yet. We can say that the price will be determined close to the release of the vehicles.
