Microsoft begins layoffs
Wanting to use its resources more efficiently in order to cope with the global economic crisis, Microsoft decided to cut its workforce as the first move. An official announcement is expected this week.
Microsoft, which has 220 thousand employees in total, is preparing to lay off a staff of 11 thousand people, which corresponds to about 5 percent. A significant part of the team was recruited from engineering departments. It is stated that there are fewer layoffs in other departments.
Despite the constant errors in Windows 11 updates and the recent claims of Windows 12, the reduction of the engineer staff is a question mark in mind.
