The Turkish Grand National Assembly Digital Media Commission has made a remarkable development. The Commission also invited Facebook’s representative in Turkey to the second meeting of the new legislative term on November 4th. The reason for this is the great digital collapse that happened at the beginning of October and went down in history.
As a matter of fact, this is not surprising. Because the government made statements about WhatsApp and Instagram, which collapsed with Facebook, and stated that the issue was very serious.

Huseyin Yayman, Chairman of the Digital Media Commission of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey, said, “The connection problems that arose especially in WhatsApp, Instagram and Facebook platforms at that time pointed to a problem that we really needed to focus on.”
This is exactly why Facebook’s Turkey representative was called to parliament. The representative, who will attend the meeting to be held on November 4, will tell the commission what happened that evening and how all the systems belonging to Facebook failed.
