Volkswagen, which ended the production of its iconic car Passat Sedan as of last year, is trying to create electric alternatives instead of this model. The last of these works, the electric sedan ID.7, was introduced a few days ago.

In the statements made within the scope of CES 2023, it was stated that the color changing technology of Volkswagen ID.7 will not be available in mass production versions. Russia-based automobile news site Kolesa has removed the camouflage of Volkswagen ID.7 ‘in the digital environment’. The rendered images suggest that the magnificence of the vehicle will be lost in mass production. According to our colleagues at Kolesa, when Volkswagen ID.7’s color changing technology is removed, the rear view of the sedan will also change. The two-piece backlight shown at CES 2023 will appear as a single piece of lighting that runs along the tailgate in the mass-production version.
