The new gaming laptop models, Blade 16 and Blade 18, introduced by Razer at the CES 2023 fair, come with a series of upgraded technical features with powerful hardware. Let’s see what the Razer Blade 18 offers with its 18-inch giant screen gaming laptop.
Razer Blade 18 and Blade 16 features
The Razer Blade 18 features a dual-mode mini LED display with HDR that delivers 1000 nits maximum brightness and less than 3ms response time. The 18-inch display features dual mode (player and productivity) switching that lets you switch between creative and gamer modes depending on the app you’re running. In Gamer mode, the screen resolution is set to Full HD + and the screen refresh rate to 240Hz. In Creator mode, the resolution is set to UHD+ and the refresh rate to 120Hz. The two gaming computers share the same screen features, apart from the screen sizes.
Razer Blade 16 & 18, 1 x USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 port, 1 x Thunderbolt 4 port supporting 100w charging, 3 x USB-A 3.2 Gen 2 ports, HDMI 2.1, 3.5mm headphone jack, 1 x UHS-II SD card has a reader. When the external display is connected from the Thunderbolt 4 port, the Nvidia GPU is connected, and when it is connected from the USB-C port, the image is taken from the internal graphics card. The Blade 18 model also has a 2.5Gbps Ethernet port.
The Blade 16 has a 95.2Wh battery and the Blade 18 has a 91.7Wh battery. The company claims that thanks to its newly introduced vapor chamber cooling technologies, the laptop stays cool while operating at maximum performance. Razer’s classic thin and light case design is continued in the new models.
Razer Blade 16 costs $2700; The price of the Blade 18 was announced as $ 2900. Razer’s new gaming laptops will be available on the Razer site, Razer stores and certain official retailers from the first quarter of 2023.
