Browsers get upgrade support
Reportedly, RTX Video Super Resolution will work similarly to how DLSS works in games. Thus, the technology that will be powered by the Tensor cores on the cards will be able to upgrade a 1080p video to 2K or 4K resolution with the help of artificial intelligence. Today, many digital content platforms other than Netflix and YouTube restrict PC users to 1080p. Therefore, we can say that Nvidia’s new feature represents a big improvement for platforms such as Amazon Prime Video or Disney+.
It has not yet been announced whether RTX Video Super Resolution will work on Turing architecture RTX 20 graphics cards. In addition, it is not known which browsers the technology will support other than Google Chrome and Edge. RTX Video Super Resolution will be available to users from February 2023.
