Apple had removed the game from the App Store, allowing Epic Games to receive payments for Fortnite through its platform. A new development took place today in the Apple-Epic Games fight, which started in 2020 and ended in favor of Epic Games in the past months.
Today, a new statement came from Epic Games CEO Tim Sweeney. Sweeney, in his tweet shared on New Year’s Eve, included statements showing that Fortnite will return to the App Store.

The Epic Games vs. App Store lawsuit isn’t over yet:
The court made its decision in favor of Epic Games, obliging Apple to offer the opportunity to make purchases from third-party platforms in applications. However, Apple appealed this decision. Apple and Epic Games are now facing off in the appeal process.
