Elon Musk and Twitter do not fall off the agenda. Musk, who changed the company completely after buying the company, is now accused of not paying the office rent. It was stated that Twitter’s office rent in San Francisco has not been paid for months.
Will the Twitter office building be executive?
According to the news made by Bloomberg, the California Property Trust is suing Twitter for not paying the $136,250 rent for its office building in San Francisco. The company that owns the office first announced the delay of the lease on December 16. He stated that he would default on the lease agreement (not complying with a contractual obligation) if it is not paid within five days.
It was reported that Twitter did not comply with the contract and insisted on not paying the rent. Although there was no official statement from the California Property Trust, sources who spoke to Bloomberg revealed that a complaint was filed with the San Francisco Supreme Court.
We know that Elon Musk has set new rules for the Twitter office due to financial restrictions. An earlier claim showed that Twitter’s global offices hadn’t paid rent for weeks. The company also still hasn’t paid $197,725 for CEO Musk’s charter flights (renting the entire plane).
A while ago, Musk auctioned off items in his Twitter office. The auction, organized by the auction house Heritage Global Partners, will begin on January 17, 2023, with opening bids ranging from $25 to $50.
Considering that Musk has fired thousands of employees from the office, this move seems appropriate. It also ended remote work and called all its employees back to the office. Finally, he created sleeping areas for his employees to sleep at Twitter’s headquarters in San Francisco.
