According to a report by Bloomberg, it shows that the iPhone 15 series may have more battery life thanks to a more efficient A17 processor. “TSMC says 3nm processes offer better performance than 5nm chips and require about 35% less power,” says Bloomberg.

While the iPhone 13 series greatly improved battery life, the iPhone 14 models did not. Although the chip technology is similar between devices, the new Always-On display has serious energy consumption.

With the new chip technology transitioning from 5nm to 3nm, TSMC says the new processor will offer better performance while requiring less power. Having more endurance throughout the day would be welcome, as battery life is one of the key features users want.

Still, it can be predicted that regular iPhone 15 models will likely have the A16 Bionic chip, and only Pro users will benefit from this new technology.

How will the iPhone 15 be?

According to screen analyst Ross Young, Apple will bring Dynamic Island to all iPhone 15 models. However, this does not mean that all versions will have Always-On display technology or ProMotion. Young believes these two features will remain exclusive to the iPhone 15 Pro series.

According to another rumor, the regular iPhone 15 models will have glass and aluminum coating, the Pro version will have glass and stainless steel, and the Pro Max – or Ultra – model will have a glass and titanium variant.

TrendForce also says that Apple will continue its strategy by offering two different chips in new iPhones. According to the publication, the iPhone 15 Pro will have the new A17 chip, while the regular versions will continue to use the A16. All new models will have 8 GB of RAM. Information on storage options is still unclear, although it doesn’t look like it will offer more than Apple currently offers.

As for cameras, there are only a few rumors about Pro models. TrendForce reports that the iPhone 15 Pro Max/Ultra version will finally get the long-talked periscope lens.
