On the last day of 2022, the Redmi brand offered its new flagships Redmi K60 and K60 Pro for sale, giving its fans in China a big gift. But not all surprises are limited to this. The company also introduced the extremely affordable Redmi 12C today.Based on the MediaTek Helio G85 chipset, the smartphone is offered with 4/6GB LPDDR4X RAM and 64/128GB eMMC 5.1 storage. On the front, there is a 6.71-inch IPS display with a resolution of 1650 x 720 pixels.
50 megapixel main camera and 5,000 mAh battery
Redmi has included a dual camera system in its new budget-friendly model, which includes a 50-megapixel main camera and a 2-megapixel secondary camera. The device has a 5 megapixel selfie camera. There is also a 5,000 mAh battery with 10W charging support, a Bluetooth 5.1 module and a fingerprint scanner on the back.
The thickness of the Redmi 12C is 8.77 mm, and its weight is 192 grams. It comes out of the box with MIUI 12 based on Android 13 operating system. It is unclear whether the smartphone will be sold outside of China. Below are the price tags that vary according to the hardware configuration.
