Apple’s plans for the iPad have been revealed. According to one of the industry-renowned analysts, Apple will launch 11.1-inch and 13-inch OLED iPad Pro models in the first quarter of 2024. The increase in screen size will lead to a change in the design. Here are Apple’s two new OLED iPad Pro plans.
11.1-inch and 13-inch OLED iPad Pro may arrive in 2024
Apple currently offers the 12.9-inch mini LED iPad Pro and the 11-inch LCD iPad Pro. The update to be experienced in OLED panel and screen size in 2024 can close the screen gap between the two iPad Pro models.
The tech giant refreshed the 11 and 12.9-inch iPad Pro models with the M2 chipset in the past months, so it may take some time before we see another update on the hardware side. It is also unclear whether there will be an intermediate change before the transition to OLED, but it is known that Apple did not develop an 11-inch mini LED iPad Pro.
The technology giant prefers to switch directly to OLED instead of the 11-inch iPad Pro with a mini LED screen. Previous leaks revealed that Apple is developing OLED panels for its devices such as iPad and MacBook and will announce it in 2024.
Display analyst Ross Young stated that Apple will release a 14.1-inch iPad Pro, but retracted the claim, stating that this device is no longer in the works. Another source revealed that Apple is designing a 16-inch iPad.
