Following Samsung’s footprint in the foldable smartphone market, Vivo is working on two new devices. According to reports, Vivo X Fold 2 will offer 2K resolution with a foldable design consisting of front and inner screens. However, the foldable phone, which will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 chipset, will have a Sony IMX866 primary camera with OIS. The Vivo X Fold 2 is also said to be a lightweight device.
To recall, the Vivo X Fold and Vivo X Fold+ weighed 311 grams. The Oppo Find N2, launched earlier this month, weighs about 235 grams. Therefore, it seems likely that Vivo is working to lighten the X Fold 2 model. In addition, both phones are expected to launch in the first half of 2023.
Moving on to the Vivo X Flip, no information has been shared except that the flip phone will come with the Snapdragon 8 Plus Gen 1 chipset. On the other hand, it is stated that Vivo may launch a new device that will be the successor of the Vivo X Note. If we recall, this phone was offered to users with a huge 7-inch OLED screen, Snapdragon 8 Gen 1 processor, 50MP quad cameras and 5,000 mAh battery.
