France-based Valneva is confident for the COVID-19 vaccine it has developed. But last month, England canceled its 100 million dose contract with Valneva. But French researchers have announced the new results.

Valneva vaccine is stronger than AstraZenaca!
The French-based pharmaceutical company announced that the coronavirus vaccine creates a stronger immune response than the Oxford/AstraZeneca vaccine. The researchers base their view on findings from Valneva’s large-scale third phase trial.

According to the news of the Independent, a comparison was made with the AstraZeneca vaccine in the Valneva COVID-19 vaccine trials. Accordingly, the data showed that Valneva produced higher levels of neutralizing antibodies than those who received the AstraZeneca vaccine. They also found that it increased the T-cell response, which helps maintain long-term immunity. T cells find and destroy infected cells.
Meanwhile, Valneva researchers also clarified the issue of side effects. The Valneva vaccine produced fewer side effects compared to AstraZenaca. No serious side effects were reported throughout the trial. The pharmaceutical company conducted its third phase trial with 4,012 volunteers at 26 trial sites in the UK. Valneva officials stated that their vaccines are effective against various variants, including the Delta variant.
Valneva vaccine is not like AstraZeneca, Moderna and Pfizer/Biontech vaccines in terms of technology. Because it carries inactivated virus. In other words, it contains genetic material taken from Sars-CoV-2 and destroyed in a way that does not cause infection and replication in the body. This long-established traditional method forms the basis of seasonal flu, hepatitis A, polio and rabies vaccines.
