NASA has released new images from the Perseverance rover it launched on July 30, 2020. The vehicle, which landed on Mars’ Jezero Crater on February 18, 2021, has been operating for months. According to the news of Digital Trends, the speed of the NASA Perseverance vehicle is actually quite slow. The rover’s top speed on flat, hard ground is just 4.2 centimeters per second (or 152 meters per hour). In this image, NASA accelerated it by about 200 times, with about 30 seconds between each frame to create the fast motion effect.
