The new Raptor Lake processors, which Intel introduced in the past months, especially attracted the attention of the players. Its processors, which could go up to 5.8 GHz, reached a speed of 8.81285 GHz after overclocking and broke the world record.

However, Intel stated in its statement that the performance of the processor is more than that. In a new test conducted today, the i9-13900K broke its own record, confirming that it is indeed the fastest processor in the world.

A new world record was broken with 9.008GHz

Jon Sanström and Pieter Plaisie, who describe themselves as “extreme overclockers”, previously reached 8.80 GHz with Intel’s i9-13900K processor. Trying a different method this time, the duo managed to reach a speed of 9.08 GHz on the same processor.

Many of the processors that heat up due to the processing load can reach much higher speeds if they can be cooled. Processors that reach the highest performance limit can shut down by giving a “blue screen” even if they are not warmed up if they are forced more. Knowing this, the duo cooled the i9-13900K with liquid helium instead of air cooling, reaching a speed of 9.08GHz. Let’s also remind you that the processor is at -269 degrees during this speed.
