Social media platforms, which have become a big part of our lives in a short time, continue to spread. So much so that even politics is affected by this situation. Recently, many names have been increasing their activity on platforms such as Instagram, YouTube and TikTok.

This brings with it some interesting developments. According to the news of Umut Erdem from Hürriyet, Deputy Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Süreyya Sadi Bilgiç will be able to add social media accounts to their resumes on the Parliament website, upon the request of the deputies.

Parliamentarians will be able to share their social media accounts.

The TikTok debate in the Assembly started with a motion presented by one of the deputies. İzmir Deputy Murat Minister submitted a proposal to the Presidency of the Assembly, to be answered by the Speaker of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey Mustafa Şentop. In his motion, the Minister made some requests regarding the resumes of the deputies on the website of the Turkish Grand National Assembly.

Asking the question, Murat Minister said, “In particular, Instagram, YouTube and TikTok are the rising channels of recent years. On the page where the resumes and legislative activities of the deputies are located, only the links to the social media channels Facebook and Twitter can be added. Do you plan to revise/work on adding access links to MPs’ YouTube and Instagram pages by making an arrangement here?” used the phrases.

Responding to this, the Deputy Chairman said, It is possible to add the social media accounts mentioned in your question as the social media account of the deputies to the part where the resume information of the deputies is located on the official website of the Grand National Assembly of Turkey; If requested by our deputies, necessary changes can be made on their resume pages.”

Thus, it has been finalized that social media platforms can be added to the resumes of deputies. So what do you think about this subject? Do not forget to share your views on the subject with us in the comments section.
