The development and adoption of the crypto industry is also an opportunity, especially for underdeveloped countries. Because cryptocurrencies seem to be an escape in countries struggling against inflation. The crypto market, which more and more people turn to every day, has also started to spread to countries. Especially Asian countries have accelerated their blockchain initiatives. On the other hand, non-commercial crypto foundations have also emerged. In the past, Vitalik Buterin made donations to a crypto foundation for India. One of these foundations, BWB, has built a technology center in Ghana, which is having a hard time economically.

Bitcoin Foundation Reaching Out to Underdeveloped Countries

Founded in Ghana by the Built With Bitcoin Foundation (BWB), the technology center will train at least 400 people in its first year.

BWB launched this training center as the Bitcoin Technology Center. The technology center to be established in the city of Kumasi was launched right after the conference in Accra, the capital of the country.

The establishment of the technology center in Kumasi stemmed from the prestigious university located in the same city. Located in Kumasi, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology is considered the best university in West Africa.

“If a community already has a school but does not have the necessary resources, how will they learn to use Bitcoin,” said Yusuf Nessary, co-founder and director of BWB.
