Xiaomi, which is preparing to launch new flagship models soon, on the other hand, does not neglect its subsidiary brands. The Chinese manufacturer continues to work on the successor of the Redmi K50 family, which it introduced earlier this year, at full speed. In this context, it is highly likely that the Redmi K60 series will be presented to users in the first quarter of next year. Finally, new details about the standard model of the series have emerged.
The box of the Redmi K60 series appeared
The boxes of the upcoming Redmi K60 model were shared from the Chinese microblogging site Weibo. This largely confirms the claims that the smartphone will be introduced as soon as possible. As it is known, the device will be equipped with Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2. The processor, which will be produced with 4 nm technology, uses 1 x 3.19 GHz ARM Cortex-X3, 2 x 2.8 GHz ARM Cortex-A715, 2 x 2.8 GHz ARM Cortex-A710 and 3 x 2.0 GHz ARM Cortex-A510 cores. Qualcomm includes the Ray Tracing supported Adreno 740 graphic interface in the processor.
According to recent reports, the new series will feature three models: the standard Redmi K60, the high-end Redmi K60 Pro and the price-performance oriented Redmi K60E. At this point, one of the most interesting details is that the standard model has a better chipset than the Pro.
Skrzypek, however, says that the Redmi K60 Pro model will be powered by the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor. It is possible to say that this situation is quite strange. Because usually the Pro has a better processor than the standard model. Finally, the price-performance focused Redmi K60E model of the series will be powered by Dimensity 8200 or Dimensity 9200.
The new series is expected to launch in China in December or the first quarter of 2023 at the latest. It seems likely that some devices in the series will be rebranded as POCO devices in the global market. On the other hand, according to recent claims, K60 Gaming will be rebranded as POCO F4 GT in markets outside of China.
