The Galaxy S series, launched by Samsung, has been tested with good performance in the smartphone market for years. It is said that this iconic series will soon be overshadowed by foldable phones.

Will the link between Samsung and Galaxy S be broken?

The Galaxy Z Fold 5 and Galaxy Z Flip 5 duo will likely be the final nail in the coffin of the Galaxy S series. Samsung Display has been working on foldable display technology for nearly a decade.

Samsung Electronics, on the other hand, has been working on the Galaxy Z Fold and Z Flip models for the last few years to make the foldable phone concept a standard. Because it is estimated that foldable phone shipments will continue to increase year by year.

Considering Samsung’s focus on the foldable phone market, it can be said that the Galaxy S models are about to lose their flagship title. In this context, it is highly likely that 2023 will be the last stop for this series.

Samsung needs to eliminate the technical malfunctions in foldable phones. It is said that the DeX service will take place in the new models produced for the Galaxy Z Flip.

It is also stated that foldable phones, which are stated to be more efficient and host higher camera resolutions for photo and video shooting, will also take their place in the markets. Samsung is known to press the button to fix the wrinkle problem on foldable screens.

It is thought that the Galaxy Z Flip 5 will be presented to users in 2023 and this product will not struggle with the current problems. Samsung sold 14 million foldable phones in the first three quarters of this year.

This technology giant, originating from South Korea, is expected to ship 26 million units on behalf of the foldable phone next year. It is claimed that the Galaxy Z Flip 5 and Galaxy Z Fold 5 duo will be available for sale in the last days of next year and that this duo will seize the title of the flagship awarded to the Galaxy S series.
