MakerDAO community voted to increase DAI rewards to 1%

Meanwhile, the MakerDAO community, one of the largest decentralized finance (DeFi) protocols, has voted to increase the reward rate of the DAI stablecoin to 1%. In the vote that ended Thursday, nearly 71% of voters favor the 1% increase, the highest option available.

Increasing the rewards, known as the DAI Savings Rate (DSR), means that investors can earn 1% annual return on their DAI holdings. So, this will provide an incentive for investors at a time when adequate returns in crypto are scarce. The yield is still much lower than what is available for traditional yielding assets such as US government bonds.
