Technology giant Apple walked to the top in the last quarter with its iPhone sales figure. According to research by Counterpoint Research, the company has reached its highest monthly market share ever in China. One out of every four phones sold in the Asian country was an iPhone model. Thus, Apple became the most popular brand in China for two months.

The economic recession does not seem to have affected iPhone and Apple products. According to October research by Counterpoint Research, Apple has achieved the best success of all time in China. While sales from other major manufacturers fell in October, Apple grew 21 percent compared to the previous month.
Compared to last year, smartphone sales fell 15 percent in China and around 4 percent in Apple. This difference enabled the company to distance itself from its competitors. Reaching a 25 percent market share in October, Apple accounted for one out of every four models in China.
The research also revealed that the iPhone maker has reached new highs in terms of market share in China for the past two years. Apple, which previously achieved record sales in November and December of 2020, showed the same success again. However, it should be reminded that in 2020, US sanctions were imposed on Huawei.
About the market growth, Research Director Ethan Qi said, “Apple has been able to challenge the market trend. This also demonstrates the resilient nature of the premium segment. “Looking at the trend in China over the past two years, it seems that Apple has emerged as the clear winner for Huawei’s share of the premium market.”
