Crypto trading platform Bitpanda has announced that it has received a license to operate in Ireland.

Bitpanda, which received a regulatory license in Germany last week, continues to strengthen its hand in Europe. Bitpanda, Austria’s first fintech unicorn company, has received regulatory approval in several European countries, including Austria, France, Italy, Spain, United Kingdom, Czech Republic and Sweden. Now the country of license is Ireland. The Austrian crypto exchange can now offer custody and proprietary trading services to customers in the European country.

Bitpanda Gets Crypto License In Ireland

Bitpanda, backed by PayPal co-founder Peter Thiel, has announced that it has obtained a crypto license in Ireland.

Targeted at people with little or no investment experience and trade savvy, the platform will be led by Rob Cumiskey, who has taken over as Bitpanda’s country leader and head of marketing in Ireland.

Regarding the company’s licensing and mandate in Ireland, Cumiskey said:

“We have a growing community of Bitpanda users in the Irish market. This does not surprise us at all, given the early adopter nature of the market. With this in mind, we invest in our local Bitpanda team and want to make sure we have the best possible product based on local needs across Europe. I personally look forward to leading our growth efforts here and showing Ireland what Bitpanda has to offer.”
