If you’re into foldable phones but aren’t convinced by the Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4, a good strong alternative is coming soon. The Huawei Mate X3 is apparently now ready for mass production and will appear soon.
According to Wangzai Knows Everything, the Huawei Mate X3 will follow Samsung’s design aesthetic very closely and potentially cost significantly less than its rival.
While there are rumors that the phone will only use 4G instead of 5G, it is still expected to be powered by the new high-end processor, the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Gen 2.
What we know so far
In fact, we do not know much about what the Huawei Mate X3 will bring with it, not much information has been published about it for now. But what we’ve seen before on the Huawei Mate X2, which was released in February 2021, may offer some clues.
That was about 2 years ago, so the sequel to the Mate X3 is a bit overdue at this point. The Mate X2 came with an 8-inch display for its main screen and carried a Kirin 9000 processor as well as up to 12GB of RAM and a 4-lens rear camera. These are high-end specs and the Mate X3 looks set to continue that trend, except perhaps the lack of 5G connectivity. According to the new leak, the phone could launch in the first half of 2023.
