WhatsApp tests mute shortcut for groups on desktop!
WhatsApp has recently increased the adding limit for groups to 1024 users. Groups with too many people cause traffic in terms of notification. For this reason, some users prefer the Mute option instead of leaving the groups. WhatsApp is also developing a Mute Shortcut for groups so that users do not experience such a problem.
Mute Shortcut
The Mute Shortcut feature for WhatsApp groups, as the name suggests, will allow you to easily mute groups from the desktop version. This shortcut will be located on the right side of the search button, as seen in the image above. It is not clear when the function, which is currently in the testing phase, will come to the stable version.
In addition, the instant communication application recently announced the automatic mute feature for groups. This feature will automatically disable notifications of the WhatsApp group that receives too many notifications.
The platform also announced that it has also brought the Calls tab and the ability to share contact cards in chat for desktop only this week. More call history will appear on the desktop thanks to the Calls tab for WhatsApp desktop. In other words, the platform makes innovations and improvements for its users to have a better experience in the web version.
