Problem in iPhone 14 production
Aside from the strict measures at Foxconn’s iPhone production facilities in the city of Zhengzhou, the protests of the workers, who are now overwhelmed by the restrictions, also put the production into trouble. The shutdown, which was already at the beginning of the month, had slightly reduced the iPhone 14 production. Analysis predicts that Apple will sell 8 million phones during the week of Black Friday, down 2 million.
The heavy shutdown measures will put Apple in a serious iPhone 14 stock shortage for the last quarter of the year. It is stated that the total iPhone 14 production expected in the last quarter will decrease by around 5 percent.
The last quarter is perhaps the most sales period for Apple during the year. The new iPhone lineup is performing well in both Black Friday and Christmas holiday sales as it’s fully launched. A decrease of around 5 percent will correspond to a decrease of around 2-3 million. This means that in the last quarter alone, Apple will sell 5 million fewer phones.
