Android 13-based One UI 5.0 update released for the first generation Galaxy Z Flip

South Korean technology giant Samsung made history in the smartphone world by introducing the Galaxy Z Fold device in 2019. The company, which started to invest more in foldable smartphones after 2019, announced the Galaxy Z Flip, its first vertically folding phone, together with the Galaxy S20 series. The first generation Flip, which forms the basis of Galaxy Z Flip 3 and Galaxy Z Flip 4, which has seriously increased the popularity of foldable phones, has received the Android 13 update.

Includes November 2022 security patch

The company, which has brought the Galaxy S20, Galaxy Note 20 and many mid-range smartphones to the Android 13 update in the past weeks, has now released this update for the Galaxy Z Flip. The One UI 5.0 update, which includes the November 2022 security patch, brings many innovations to the device, including new dynamic theme options, privacy and security improvements, new animations, and enhanced Wi-Fi options. The update is only available in Italy for now, but will roll out in many countries in the coming weeks.
