Riot Games, which sits in the leadership seat of the competitive gaming world today, came up with great news today. The company has posted an ad on the ‘Hitmarker’ platform, where job postings for the gaming and e-sports industry are available.
The ad in question was directly titled ‘Game Design Manager, Console – VALORANT’. The announcement also revealed Riot Games’ plan. It has been officially announced that the console version of VALORANT will be developed.
The console version of VALORANT is coming!
Riot Games shared that the person who will be appointed to the position in the job posting published 6 days ago will be responsible for bringing VALORANT to consoles in a healthy way. This person will be responsible for making the game playable on gamepads and will work under the Project’s Chief Designer.
So, when will VALORANT come to consoles?
There is currently no answer to this question. In fact, the name PlayStation or Xbox is not clearly stated in the job posting. But considering that the team has just started to assemble for the project, we can assume that we have at least a year ahead of us. Of course, this may vary depending on which consoles Riot is developing for.
Although Riot Games announced that the game will come to consoles, it did not specify whether it will be only PlayStation and Xbox, and whether it will come to other consoles such as Switch and Steam Deck. Therefore, although we have learned that VALORANT will come to consoles at the moment, we do not have much information other than that.
