Samsung’s next generation image sensor: XISOCELL

The latest report, which detects Samsung’s trademark registration application, shows that the next generation of image sensors will come under the brand name XISOCELL. However, the report unfortunately did not give further details about the features of Samsung’s next-generation camera image sensors, apart from the brand name.

Samsung is also reportedly working on a sensor-shift image stabilization technology very similar to the one seen on the iPhone 12 Pro Max. California-based iPhone maker Cupertino claimed that the technique can stabilize an image more than 5,000 times per second.

However, it is not yet clear whether the next-generation XISOCELL image sensors and the rumored sensor-shifted image stabilization technology will make their way into Samsung’s upcoming S23 flagship lineup.
