Sam Bankman-Fried, founder of FTX, said he will speak with New York Times columnist Andrew Ross Sorkin at an event.

SBF, the former CEO of bankrupt FTX, will also be present at the DealBook Summit, which will be held in New York on November 30.

Sam Bankman-Fried to Attend the Conference

Making the statement on its Twitter account, SBF stated that it will meet with Andrew Sorkin at the DealBook Summit.

Although SBF’s participation in the event was something that was planned before, how the travel plans would be shaped was one of the important agenda items in the industry as it was under investigation in the USA.

SBF has not made a statement about whether it will attend the event in person or via video conference. The New York Times has also not made a statement on the subject.

The conference was announced on October 18, before FTX’s problems were revealed. Other attendees of the conference include Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenski, US Treasury Secretary Janet Yellen and Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg.

In a letter sent to FTX employees recently, SBF apologized to the entire team and explained why the exchange failed.
